After a dominant performance in his final regular season game, Caston “Bear” Meadows has been named the Realtor Michael S. Ray Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 30.
The senior linebacker helped lead the Broncos to a 36-30 win over Edmond Memorial at Bronco Stadium last Friday night, racking up a game-high 16 tackles while hurrying Bulldog quarterback David McComb once.
Meadows leads Mustang with 152 total tackles heading into the team’s postseason opener against Westmoore this Friday. He also leads the team with seven tackles for loss and has tallied five QB hurries with one forced fumble.
Meadows is the clear-cut leader of Mustang’s defense and is starting to see college offers, including Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
The Broncos and their defensive leader look to advance from the first round of the playoffs this Friday night with a matchup against the Jaguars at Moore Schools Stadium.

Jaden Johnson (So.) / Football – Johnson had another big game in Week 10, racking up seven catches for 172 yards with two touchdowns. He continues to be Mustang’s top receiving threat.
Carl Ripley (Sr.) / Football – Ripley has been punting for the Broncos and helped flipped the field on multiple occasions during Mustang’s win over Edmond Memorial. He punted seven times for an average of 40 yards, including placing the ball inside the 10-yard line three times.
