Mustang quarterback Trajan Williamson (Sr.) made his return to the gridiron against Bedlam rival Yukon in Week 1 of the high school football season and produced a stellar performance.
Williamson was named the J M Insurance Agency Athlete of the Week for the Week of Sept. 2 after going 21-for-23 for 339 yards with five touchdown passes and rushing for 65 yards with one score. He helped lead the Broncos to a 52-14 blowout win over the Millers at Miller Stadium.
The senior signal caller suffered a season-ending injury in Week 7 of the 2023 season and worked his way back during spring, summer, and fall camp. He and the Broncos racked up 584 total yards in the Week 1 victory.
The Broncos are now 3-0 through non-district play and host the Moore Lions (3-0) in the district opener on Friday, Sept. 27 at Bronco Stadium.
