After helping lead the Broncos to a pair of wins with back-to-back double-digit scoring performances, Parker Simonsen (Sr.) has been named the Realtor Michael S. Ray Athlete of the Week for the Week of Feb. 5.
Simonsen scored 11 points, dished out five assists, and grabbed two rebounds in Mustang’s 60-31 district win over Deer Creek last Tuesday.
The University of Central Oklahoma-signee followed with a 19-point outing in a 57-40 Senior Night win over Moore on Friday. She added six assists and six rebounds as well.
Simonsen has been one of the top guards in Class 6A over the last two seasons and has helped lead Mustang to a 16-6 record overall as the team’s starting point guard. She looks to help the Broncos cap the regular season with a win as they travel to Norman tonight to take on the Norman North Timberwolves at 6 p.m.
