The No. 11 Mustang Broncos returned to the hardwood on Wednesday night and capped the 2022 Bank7 Holiday Classic opening round with their most lopsided win so far this season.
Led by three players in double digits, including a game-high 19 points from Roman Miller (So.), Mustang (6-3) flexed depth and young playmaking ability in a 63-37 blowout win over Class 2A No. 7 Pocola.
Miller went 8-for-16 from the field while grabbing seven rebounds to help lead the Broncos. Keegan Bass (Sr.) added 14 points (5-for-11) and three assists while Bryson Sharp (Sr.) tallied 12 points (5-for-10) with three boards and three helpers.
Mustang got off to a slow start, surrendering a 13-12 first-quarter lead before exploding the rest of the way. Pocola (3-3) couldn’t keep up with Mustang’s depth, playing just seven players the entire game, including six over 27 minutes.
The Broncos outscored the Indians 38-18 in the second and third quarters before closing out the win with a 13-6 run in the fourth. Coach Scott Hodges was able to empty his bench late, getting 14 players on the court in total.

Chance Rodgers (Sr.) added five points for Mustang while Thai Bond (Sr.) and LeBryan Hayes (Sr.) each scored four. Jaden Johnson (Fr.) scored three points and Cade Christy (Sr.) scored two.
With the win, the Broncos move on to face No. 8 Booker T Washington (5-2) on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the semifinals. The Hornets knocked off Midwest City in their opener.
CARL ALBERT 55, SOUTHMOORE 51
Class 5A No. 1 Carl Albert pulled off a comeback to remain unbeaten on Wednesday morning, outscoring Class 6A No. 10 Southmoore 19-14 in the fourth quarter for a 55-51 win.
Three players scored in double digits to help lead the Titans, including 19 points from Quincy Hopkins, who went 8-for-13 from the field. Ryan Reynolds added 13 points while Jordan England scored 12.
Southmoore was led by 20 points from Jesse Ledbetter and 10 from Camden Stewart.

PUTNAM CITY NORTH 68, OWASSO 35
No. 3 PC North made quick work of No. 17 Owasso in the second game of the tournament, advancing with a 68-35 win.
The Panthers (9-0) outscored the Rams (2-3) 20-3 and took a 30-10 lead into halftime. They closed out the win with 38 points in the second half.
CJ Smith led North with 24 points and 10 rebounds while Kejuan Payne scored 22. Zander Baker added 17 points and dished out five assists.
BOOKER T WASHINGTON 63, MIDWEST CITY 53
No. 8 Booker T Washington advanced to the semifinals with a 63-53 first-round win over Midwest City in the third game of the tournament on Wednesday.
The game was tightly contested from start to finish, including a 28-25 battle in the first half. The Hornets pulled away with a 35-28 run after the break.
Booker T was led by 16 points and 11 rebounds off the bench from BJ Harris. Harris went 7-for-14 from the field and also dished out three assists. Ty Holdman added 13 points.
Roy Henderson led the Bombers with 18 points and 11 rebounds while DeShawn Denson II scored 11 with five boards.
