Six Mustang High School athletes signed their letters of intent on the first day of the Early Signing Period on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Mustang Event Center.
Two of the school’s track stars – Jordan Atkinson and Kassidi Watkins – will be taking their talents to the Division I level at the University of Oklahoma in Norman. The duo helped lead the Broncos to the Class 6A state championship last spring and are primed to propel the squad to back-to-back titles in a few months.
Three of Mustang’s top softball players will be playing at the next level next year, including pitchers Amelia Mason and Aubree Hall and outfielder Natalia Delgado.
Mason, who was recently selected to the Large West Fastpitch All-State Team, signed to pitch for Rose State College in Midwest City. Hall, who was named All-District Honorable Mention, signed to pitch for Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. Delgado, who was also named All-District Honorable Mention this fall, signed to play for the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha.
Eve Brassfield, a senior defender for the MHS soccer team, signed to play for Randall University in Moore. She will hit the pitch for her final high school season this spring.
