The Mustang Broncos (3-0, 0-0) open district play tonight against the Moore Lions (3-0, 0-0) in a battle of undefeated teams.
The Broncos are riding the momentum of wins over Yukon, Broken Arrow, and Westmoore while the Lions have victories over Westmoore, Southmoore, and Norman North.
It’s Homecoming in Mustang as the fall weather has finally arrived. Check out the game preview below:

WHO TO WATCH FOR OFFENSIVELY: MUSTANG
Quarterback Trajan Williamson (Sr.) has passed for nearly 800 yards through three games and has tossed eight touchdown passes with two interceptions. He has also rushed for 160 yards with five scores on the ground.
Williamson went 13-for-32 for 179 yards with two touchdowns and one interception last week against Westmoore.

Running back Latin Everheart (Sr.) leads the team with 350 yards with three TDs. He blew up the last two weeks, rushing for 136 yards against Broken Arrow in Week 2 and 172 yards last week against Westmoore. Also, watch out for Taven Brown (So.) and Gerald Ackah-Mensah (Jr.), who have combined for 241 yards and two scores on the ground.
The Broncos have three receivers with over 200 yards, including juniors Jaytee and Jaden Johnson and senior Ben Patkowski.
Jaytee leads the team with 276 yards and five touchdowns while Jaden has racked up 218 yards with two scores. Patkowski paces the team in receptions (17) and has totaled 241 yards with one touchdown.
WHO TO WATCH FOR OFFENSIVELY: MOORE
Quarterback Malikai Miller (Sr.) is off to a hot start this season, completing nearly 60-percent of his passes (33-for-56) for 503 yards with four touchdowns. He has also rushed for 179 yards with one score.
Miller helped lead the Lions to a 33-28 win over Norman North in Week 3, going 7-for-14 for 133 yards through the air. He also rushed for 104 yards, including a 90-yard TD run. He totaled 206 yards with two touchdown passes in a Week 2 45-13 win over Southmoore and 239 yards with two scores in a 35-3 Week 1 win over Westmoore.
The Lions feature a stable of running backs who have all rushed for over 200 yards this season. Elijah Moon (Sr.) leads the way with 254 yards on 24 carries with one touchdown. Ozias Adams (So.) has 246 yards on 26 carries with a TD and Jaden Williams (Sr.) has 233 yards on 35 carries with one score as well.
Jonnell Alexander (Sr.) and Maverick Gardner (Jr.) lead the team in receiving yards and receptions. Alexander has caught eight passes for 149 yards with two touchdowns while Gardner has also caught eight passes for 137 yards.
WHO TO WATCH FOR DEFENSIVELY: MUSTANG
Mustang’s secondary has been lights out this season.
The Broncos picked off Westmoore quarterbacks six times last week, including two apiece by cornerbacks Waleed Gaines Jr. (Sr.) and Tucker Brown (So.) and safety Blaine Fulmer (Sr.).

Watch out for the team’s defensive back to once again make a big impact this week against the Lions. Also, watch out for linebackers Josiah Stevens (Jr.), Kaden Bachus (Jr.), and Parker Sorrell (Jr.). The trio combined for 27 tackles in Week 3 and have combined for 99 tackles this season.
Onesi Ngalo (Sr.) and Louie Jones (Sr.) lead the team’s defensive line. Ngalo has 16 total tackles on the season while Jones has nine, including two sacks.
WHO TO WATCH FOR DEFENSIVELY: MOORE
Moore features a pair of linebackers who help spur the team’s defensive attack.
Outside linebacker Khristyen Wilson (Jr.) leads the team with 19 total tackles, including two tackles for loss while middle linebacker Nick Carden is third on the team with 12 total tackles, including two sacks.
Defensive end Hayden Stull ranks second on the team with 18 total tackles, including two sacks. Gardner is fourth on the team with 10 total tackles.
The Lions have nine sacks as a team and have allowed an average of 14.7 points per game.
PREDICTION: MUSTANG 38, MOORE 27
The Broncos went undefeated in non-district play, building momentum for district action after an overtime win over Broken Arrow in Week 2 and a comeback win over Westmoore in Week 3.
The Lions have plenty of firepower, but watch for Mustang’s defense to force two turnovers after forcing seven against the Jaguars last week. Gaines Jr. and Tucker Brown should be able to handle Moore’s top two wideouts while the team’s defensive line and linebackers hold the Lion rushing attack at bay.
Williamson is recovering from a pair of injuries, but should be a bigger part in Mustang’s run game, along with running backs Everheart and Taven Brown. The Johnson twins will combine for over 250 yards receiving with at least one touchdown reception apiece.
