Mustang centerfielder Lexy Kierstead (Jr.) helped lead the district-leading Broncos to six wins, including victories over Muskogee (twice), Midwest City, Bedlam rival Yukon, Class 4A Cache, and Stillwater.

Kierstead was named the J M Insurance Agency Athlete of the Week for the Week of Sept. 9 after going 11-for-21 with two home runs, nine RBI, 10 runs, and a walk during three district games and the 2024 Carl Albert/Choctaw Festival.

Kierstead is one of the top players in the state and has helped lead the Broncos to a 23-7 record in 2024, including an undefeated 13-0 record in Class 6A District 4.

She and the Broncos continue their season with a matchup against the Ponca City Wildcats on Thursday, Sept. 26 at home.
