Senior Emrie Brown helped lead the Mustang Broncos to seven wins during the opening week of play and was named to the 2024 Sand Springs All-Tournament Team last week.
Brown, one of the squad’s top middle blockers, led the team with 38 total kills and eight total blocks in the Sand Springs Tournament last weekend. She also finished with 17 digs, eight aces, and four assists.
Mustang went 6-1 in the tournament, defeating Enid, Stillwater, Putnam City Original, Ponca City, Southmoore, and Sand Springs on route to a runner-up finish.
Brown also led the team with 17 kills and eight blocks while adding four digs in a season-opening, five-set win over Norman North on Aug. 13.
Brown and the Broncos continue their season this weekend at the 2024 Choctaw Tournament.
