On the back of a complete game performance by Maddox Lawson (Sr.) and nine hits at the plate, the Mustang Broncos cruised to a 6-1 win over Moore on Friday, April 19 at the Mustang Baseball Complex.

Lawson was stellar, allowing just six hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out four batters and helped his own cause at the dish, going 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, and a walk.

The Broncos finished with nine hits, including seven from the first four hitters in the lineup. They scored one in the first inning before tacking on three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth.

Blaine Fulmer (Jr.) got things going in the bottom of the first, leading off with a single before scoring on a double to left field by Lawson.

Lawson walked to leadoff a three-run third inning for the Broncos. Carlos Lopez (Sr.) followed with a single to right field before Jake Blice (Sr.) reached on an error, which scored Lawson for a 2-0 lead.

Wyatt Williamson (Jr.) and Kaden Williams (Jr.) also reached on errors, forcing home two more runs to give Mustang a 4-0 advantage.

Carson Sawyer (Sr.) led off the fourth inning with a single to right field and moved to second on a walk issued to Fulmer. Lawson followed with a single before passed balls pushed across Sawyer for a 6-0 lead.
