The wins marked the second and third straight of the team’s current 13-game win streak. Check out the recaps below:
MUSTANG 16, WESTMOORE 4
The Broncos (15-2) didn’t waste much time against the Jags (11-10), plating nine runs in the bottom of the first inning to help fuel the top five victory.
The team’s first seven hitters recorded a hit, including a leadoff homer by second baseman Lexy Kierstead (So.). After a single by catcher Nyli Brown (Jr.), third baseman Eden Anderson (Sr.) made it 3-1 with a two-run jack.
Kierstead, Brown, and Anderson all finished with two hits. Kierstead and Anderson each tallied three RBI.
A double by Rylann Beeson (So.), who went 3-for-3 with four RBI, and back-to-back singles by shortstop Reese Poage (So.) and left fielder Rylee Hannon (Sr.) loaded the bases before a two-run knock by Arionna McElroy (Sr.) for a 5-1 lead.
Right fielder Shaye Rowe (Sr.) extended the advantage to 6-1 with a sacrifice fly to drive home Hannon before an RBI-single by starting pitcher Emerson Pegram (Sr.) to make it 7-1.
Kierstead followed by launching her second home run of the inning, diving home courtesy runner Lyla Nichols (So.) for a 9-1 advantage.
Anderson crushed her second homer of the game in the bottom of the second inning, giving Mustang a 10-2 lead after the Jags scored once in the top half. The Broncos sealed the victory with six runs in the bottom of the third.

Beeson unloaded them with a grand slam to left field before a solo shot by Poage put Mustang up 16-4.
Pegram earned the win from the circle, allowing four earned runs on nine hits and two walks. She gave up just one home run.

Kierstead, Beeson, and Hannon combined for seven hits, including two bombs, and four RBI.

Mustang added three runs in the fifth and one in the sixth to help seal the win.

Brown went 2-for-3 with a team-high four RBI while Beeson finished 2-for-4 with two runs.
