After placing third in the Gold Bracket of the 2024 Super Girl 64 at Union High School, Kady Theriot (So.) has been named the Realtor Michael S. Ray Athlete of the Week for the Week of Jan. 1.

Theriot tallied three straight round robin wins to reach the Round of 16 in Tulsa. Following a loss to Bixby’s Jadyn Roller, Theriot won three straight matches again to reach the consolation semifinals.

The sophomore grappler defeated Gracie Webb of Searcy High School (Ark.) by a 13-2 major decision before winning 11-9 over Henrietta’s Dalilah Coyle for the bronze medal in the tournament’s highest bracket.

Theriot and the Broncos look to continue their strong season on Thursday at Westmoore before again hitting the road on Saturday for the 2024 McLoud Ladies Dual Tournament.
