Mustang’s winter royalty has been crowned.
L.B. Hayes and Brenda Nguyen were named the 2023-24 Winter Sports Homecoming King and Queen at halftime of the Bronco boys basketball game vs Piedmont on Dec. 5 at the Mustang Event Center.
Hayes has been a standout basketball and football player for MHS over the last four years and is again one of the basketball team’s top players this season.
Nguyen is a three-time Class 6A State Championship Meet qualifier for the Mustang swim team and is one of the squad’s co-captains this season. She is well on her way to reaching state once again individually and as a member of Mustang’s relays.
Harper Staats and Tayvn Bowie were honored as this year’s Homecoming Attendants.
Harper is the daughter of Will and Jennifer Staats. She enjoys cheer, gymnastics, and spending time with family. She wants to be a shoe designer when she grows up.
Tayvn is the son of LaToya Jackson. He loves playing football and basketball with his cousin and also loves monster trucks. He wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.
