Broncos reel off five wins in final meet before Christmas Break

The Mustang Broncos reeled off five wins against a strong field in the 2023 Stillwater Meet prior to Christmas Break.

The Bronco boys, led by Ace Seck and Gavin Davis, won three events, including the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Seck won the 200-yard freestyle (2:24.88) while Davis won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.63) to lead the team individually.

The 200-yard freestyle team of Seck, Austin Price, Dominic Tonn, and Skyler Fair clocked in at 1:53.33 for its win.

The team came away with five runner-up finishes, including two relays.

Seck notched a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly while Parker Campbell finished second in the 400-yard freestyle. Mason Scott also finished second in the 100-yard backstroke.

Campbell, Scott, Gavin Davis, and Dominic Tonn led the 200-yard medley team to a runner-up finish while Scott, Seck, Campbell, and Davis finished second in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Tonn, Campbell, and Jackson Fogt all tallied third-place marks in different events.

Tonn finished third in the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard breaststroke while Campbell finished third in the 200-yard medley. Fogt tallied his third-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke.

Dalton Le added a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard medley while Chase Brown (100-butterfly) and Austin Price (100-freestyle) each came away with a fifth-place showing.

GIRLS

The Mustang girls tallied 11 top-five times, including a pair of wins by Jacee Jimeson and Brenda Nguyen.

Jimeson finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:33.47 while Nguyen finished first in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking in at 1:15.67.

Jimeson also notched the team’s lone runner-up mark, finishing second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:12.46. Nguyen finished third in the 200-medley.

Keaton Brown, Isabella Bethel, and Catherine Hunter all cracked the top-five in different events.

Brown finished third in the 100-butterfly while Bethel finished fourth in the 400-yard freestyle and Hunter finished fifth in the 200-yard medley.

The squad’s relays were solid, combining for one second and two third-place finishes.

The 200-yard medley team of Jimeson, Nguyen, Julian Hua, and Lillian Pinkerton clocked in at 2:26.39 in its runner-up performance.

The team of Hunter, Hua, Pinkerton, and Avery Halcomb finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay while Nguyen, Pinkerton, Brown, and Jimeson finished third in the 400-yard freestyle.
