Broncos win 15 events in dominant performance at 2023 Duncan Meet

The Mustang Broncos won 15 events in a dominant performance at Duncan on Dec. 1.

The Bronco boys won nine times while the girls won five events in the first of four meets in December.

Mason Scott, Parker Campbell, Gavin Davis, and Ace Seck combined for six individual wins and three relay victories for the Mustang boys.

Scott pulled out wins in the 200-yard freestyle (2:09.00) and the 100-backstroke (1:07.72), Campbell finished first in the 200-yard medley (2:35.59) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:08.97), Davis won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.79), and Seck notched a win in the 400-yard freestyle (5:32.13).

Campbell, Davis, Scott, and Seck led the 200-yard medley relay team to a first place finished, clocking in at 2:04.87.

Seck, Scott, Davis, and Dominic Tonn led the 400-yard freestyle relay team to first place with a time of 4:09.03 while Dalton Le, Austin Price, Skyler Fair, and Tonn finished first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:54.84.

The Broncos also racked up 10 other top-five marks.

Seck, Davis, Le, and Fair all came away with runner-up finishes in different events.

Seck finished second in the 200-yard freestyle, Davis finished second in the 50-yard freestyle, Le finished second in the 100-yard butterfly, and Fair finished second in the 100-yard freestyle.

Price (200-freestyle), Tonn (200-medley), Fair (50-freestyle), and Fogt (100-backstroke) all added third-place finishes. Fogt also finished fourth in the 100-yard freestyle while Braelyn Tallen finished fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke.

GIRLS

Jacee Jimeson and Brenda Nguyen combined for four wins to help fuel Mustang’s girls.

Jimeson placed first in the 200-yard medley (02:54.70) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:15.20) while Nguyen finished first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:15.00) and the 400-yard freestyle (5:42.10).

Jimeson, Aurora Grant, Alaina Kemp, and Avery Halcomb finished first in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:28.40 while Nguyen, Pinkerton, Addy Padilla, and Jimeson led the 400-yard freestyle relay team to first place, clocking in at 5:01.34.

Grant, Keaton Brown, Padilla, and Lillian Pinkerton finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:21.80.

Grant added a second-place individual finish in the 100-yard breaststroke. Cori Phelan finished third in the 200-yard freestyle while Catherine Hunter finished third in the 100-yard butterfly and Padilla finished third in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke.
