Eden Anderson helped lead the Mustang Broncos to regional and district titles and a spot in the Class 6A state tournament in 2023 and is now being rewarded for her efforts.
Anderson was selected to the 2023 Large West All-State Team this week at corner infield, capping a tremendous season at the plate and at third base for the Broncos.
“Her offensive stats were so impressive that they pretty much blew everyone else’s out of the water,” Mustang coach Lacy Darity said of the senior third baseman following the season. “This was by far her best season, and it’s just really cool to see her go out with a bang and be rewarded for her ability and hard work.”
Anderson led the Broncos in nearly every major statistical category during the 2023 regular season, including a .523 batting average, nine home runs, 18 doubles, 38 RBI, a .522 on-base percentage, a 1.057 slugging percentage, and a 1.609 OPS.
She continued her power surge in the postseason, including four homers in the regional tournament vs Edmond Santa Fe and Jenks. She also cranked a three-run bomb against Edmond Memorial in the team’s state quarterfinals game at Firelake Ballfields in Shawnee.
Anderson is committed to play collegiately at Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma City. She has plans to study elementary education while in college.
