The Mustang Broncos scored five runs in the final three innings on Tuesday night, helping secure a 5-3 non-district win over the Deer Creek Antlers.

Eden Anderson, who rattled off a two-hit, two-RBI performance on Monday in the team’s season opener, stayed hot with two hits and three RBI against the Antlers.

The senior third baseman’s solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning broke a 2-2 tie and gave Mustang (2-0) its first lead of the game. She drove in two more runs with a double in the sixth to all but seal the win.

Abigail Keele took advantage of her opportunity in clutch time as well.

The sophomore designated hitter stepped to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth and tied the game with a two-run single to left field, scoring Arionna McElroy (Sr.) and Reese Poage (So.). Keele went 2-for-3 overall.

McElroy, Shaye Rowe (Sr.), Lexy Kierstead (So.), Emerson Pegram (Sr.), and Rylee Hannon (Sr.) each finished with one hit. McElroy and Poage also reached base on walks.

Aubree Hall earned her first win with a solid performance from the circle.

The junior hurler allowed both runs in the third inning on a single to center field and allowed four walks over the first three innings. However, she settled down and allowed just two hits and a walk over the final four frames to polish off the victory.

The Broncos continue their season at the 2023 Broken Arrow tournament this weekend. They return to district action on Monday with a home matchup against Bixby at 6:30 p.m.
