The Mustang football program is hosting its annual Bronco Youth Football ‘Tackle Academy Padded Camp’ and ‘Offensive Skills Academy Padded Camp’ this month at Bronco Stadium.
The Tackle Academy Padded Camp is set for June 15-16 for 6U-8U players and June 22-23 for 9U-11U players. It will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a cost of $100.
The camp is designed to give youth players the knowledge and confidence needed to consistently make safe and effective tackles while playing and practicing.
The Offensive Skills Academy Padded Camp is set for June 15-16 for 9U-11U players and June 22-23 for 6U-8U players. It will also run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a cost of $100.
Each camp will be led by the Mustang varsity coaching staff, including head coach Lee Blankenship, as well as current and former players. Players should wear full pads, including pants with all pads, helmet, mouthpiece, and shoulder pads. They should also wear a jersey and cleats and bring a water bottle.
All Mustang Youth Football Association coaches are strongly encouraged to attend in order to learn about and implement the same drills with their youth teams in 2023.
