The Mustang Broncos defeated Norman in three sets last week at Mustang Event Center, ending the team’s two-match losing streak with the sweep.
All three sets were closely played as the Broncos (7-10) won by a total margin of 10 points. Mustang took the first set 25-20, the second 25-22, and closed out the victory with a 26-24 win in the third set.
Seniors Mikayla Eagle and Grace White led the attack, combining for 16 of the team’s 26 total kills. Eagle finished with a team-high nine while White totaled seven. The duo combined for just eight errors on 36 attempts.
Juniors Erin Mack and Tatum Spencer each tallied three kills while senior Emma White and junior London Cooper each finished with two.

Junior Adisen Williamson and senior Anissah Gaines combined for 19 of the team’s 23 assists. Williamson led the way with 10 while Gaines tallied nine. The tandem also combined for 59 of the team’s 94 sets while junior Raegan Bullard finished with 20.
The Broncos scored 10 aces in the service game, including three from Mack and two apiece from Gaines and fellow senior Rylee Hart. Bullard, Eagle, and freshman Grace Davis each finished with one.
Hart and Eagle led the way defensively, combining for 26 of the team’s 55 total digs. Hart finished with a team-high 15 while Eagle totaled 11. Sophomore Gracelyn Higgins tallied six while Cooper finished with five.
Hart paced the Broncos with 32 total receptions, including 16 off serves, and 22 total passes. Eagle and Cooper combined for 23 total receptions, including 13 from Eagle, who also finished with 15 passes. Spencer and Mack finished with eight receptions apiece while Mack and Higgins each totaled seven passes.
Mustang totaled just six solo blocks and two assisted. Grace White and Spencer each tallied three solo while Emma White and Cooper each assisted on one.
The Broncos hit the home court again twice this week. They host No. 10 Edmond Santa Fe (7-9) tonight before a Thursday matchup against Southmoore (6-8).
Each match is scheduled to start with junior varsity action at 4 p.m.
